Participation in Utah Pig Bus tailgating activities is voluntary. Tailgating environments can involve uneven pavement, crowded areas, moving vehicles, stairs, raised surfaces, weather, hot cooking equipment, grills, fryers, food, alcohol, and actions of other people.

Your part

Guests are expected to use reasonable care, follow posted rules, avoid activities they cannot participate in safely, supervise minors in their care, and notify crew members about unsafe conditions.

Our part

The Pig Bus crew works to create a welcoming and reasonably safe environment, but no event is risk-free. Guests may be responsible under applicable law for harm resulting from their own negligent, reckless, unlawful, or intentional conduct.

Not a blanket waiver

This informational notice is not a blanket waiver of liability and does not remove duties that owners, organizers, hosts, or other responsible parties owe under the law. Any additional release must be separately written, legally reviewed, and obtained using an appropriate consent process.

Property and belongings

Guests may be held responsible, as applicable under law, for their intentional, reckless, or negligent damage to others’ property. There is no secure storage service and no guarantee against loss, theft, or accidental damage to personal belongings.

Emergencies

If you observe an unsafe situation or need assistance, notify a crew member immediately. In an emergency, call 911, then alert crew and help keep routes clear for responders.

The Utah Pig Bus is an independently organized alumni tailgate tradition. It is not owned, operated, sponsored, endorsed, or officially affiliated with the University of Utah, Utah Athletics, the Crimson Club, or Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.
